Talk to our team of dermatology-specialist GPs
Find a treatment plan that works for your skin
We often hear people say things like, “My eczema isn’t bad enough to see a doctor” or “I’ll wait for my rosacea to calm down on its own.” But chronic skin conditions don’t need to be severe to deserve attention.
At Oxona Health, our dermatology-specialist GPs take the time to understand your skin, listen to your concerns, and recommend treatment options for eczema, psoriasis or rosacea that are tailored to you and your needs.
What is the best treatment for psoriasis, eczema and rosacea?
Whether you’ve just noticed dry, itchy skin, developed new symptoms like blistering or redness, or have dealt with flare-ups for years—it’s always the right time to seek support if your skin is affecting your quality of life.
We treat every case seriously, and we’re here to help you find a solution that works for your lifestyle, symptoms and preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to book?
No referral is required. You can book directly online, by phone, or via email.
What treatments are available for eczema, psoriasis and rosacea?
We offer a range of evidence-based treatments, including:
- Prescription topical creams or ointments
- Oral medications (e.g. antibiotics, antihistamines, or immunomodulators)
- Skincare and lifestyle advice
- Referral to secondary care, if needed
Your treatment plan is tailored to your symptoms and preferences.
Can you prescribe creams stronger than those from a pharmacy?
Yes. Our GPs are licensed to prescribe a range of prescription-only treatments, which are often stronger and more targeted than over-the-counter products.
How quickly will I see results?
This varies depending on the condition and treatment used. Many patients begin to see improvement within 2–4 weeks, but chronic skin conditions often require ongoing management.
Can you help with flare-ups that aren’t responding to my usual treatment?
Yes. We regularly support patients who’ve tried other treatments or are experiencing flare-ups that aren’t resolving. We can assess your current plan and make adjustments or offer alternatives.
Do you offer allergy testing?
We do not currently offer allergy testing, but we can advise on common triggers and help manage skin conditions linked to sensitivities.
Can I still use my NHS GP for ongoing treatment?
Yes—in many cases, we can recommend a plan that your NHS GP may be willing to continue or support, especially if you’re looking to reduce costs for long-term prescriptions.
Do you treat children under the age of 18?
Yes, we treat children and teenagers at both clinics. For procedures requiring discomfort tolerance (e.g. verruca freezing), we generally recommend age 10+. Patients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I claim for my appointment on insurance?
You’ll need to check with your insurer before booking. Some providers will reimburse private dermatology appointments, but you may need documentation signed during your visit.
Please note: our doctors are GMC-registered GPs, not consultants, so confirm this is acceptable to your insurer beforehand.
