Consultations
Pre-operative consultation
All patients must be seen for a Pre-op Consultation before any surgical procedure. During this appointment, you can discuss the removal of moles, cysts or anything else you would like to have removed. Your doctor will discuss removal methods, expected outcomes and provide you with a cost for the procedure. Small blemishes can sometimes be removed during this appointment if the doctor feels it is appropriate.
Single lesion check
This appointment is suitable for a maximum of three lesions (moles/ blemishes) to be checked by the doctor with a dermatoscope. If your doctor does find anything concerning, they will provide all treatment options; including the option of being sent directly back into the NHS (without needing to see your GP first).
Skin diagnosis/treatment consultation
This appointment is for the diagnosis and management of skin conditions. This appointment is needed for any skin condition e.g. acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis etc. If you would like to have any moles/lesions removed then this can also be discussed.
Roaccutane/ Isotretinoin initial appointment
This appointment is only for patients with severe active acne. This is not a first line treatment, so you must have tried other acne treatments. Even if you are a patient with Oxona, you must book this appointment prior to being prescribed Isotretinoin/ Accutane.
Full body mole and blemish check
This appointment includes a top-to-toe skin examination. All lesions will be checked with a dermatoscope and pictures taken if needed for future monitoring. Your doctor will discuss self-monitoring and skin care during your appointment.
Follow-up consultation
For our existing patients requiring on-going monitoring or a change of medication.
Roaccutane/ Accutane/ Isotretinoin follow-up appointment
For all existing Oxona Roaccutane/ Accutane/ Isotretinoin patients. These appointments are required monthly.
Procedure appointment
If you have already seen a doctor you may have been advised to book a procedure appointment. You will need to select an appointment duration. Please refer to your clinical notes if unsure. You will be charged a deposit to make this appointment. This fee will be deducted from final payment.
Procedures
See and treat
See and treat prices are charged in addition to the 'pre-operative consultation' fee. This is for procedures completed on the day. Lesions falling into this category tend to be: skin tags, seborrhoeic keratosis, solar lentigos, brown spots, warts and early stage sun damage.
Multiple blemish/lesion removal
If you have a number of benign lesions/ blemishes (skin tags, warts, sun spots) to be removed then this option may be most cost effective. Your doctor will suggest a suitable length of time for you to do during your pre-operative appointment.
Shave excision
Additional removals in the same session are 50% of the full price. Naevus (moles) are charged differently due to the increased risks involved in removal.
Ellipse excision - mole / cyst / lipoma/ skin cancer removal
Additional ellipse excision (cut & stitch) removals in the same session are charged by time in 15 minute intervals. For more exact pricing, please call one of our reception team. Please see complexity fees for Head & neck lesions or skin cancers.
Complexity fees
Some surgeries have additional complexity fees. Your doctor will make it clear if your procedure falls into this category prior to any agreement on treatment.
Keloid scar excision (shave technique)
All prices include the cost of steroid injections at the time of the procedure should they be required. Prices are by time, so can include multiple keloids.
Keloid injections
Verruca Treatment
Liquid nitrogen treatment. Some Verrucae will require more than one session.
Histology
Oxona sends all specimens to the labs. Patients can choose to opt out of they wish. We do not make any profit on histology samples as we recognise the importance of ensuring these tests are as accessible as possible.
