Dermoscopy is an essential tool for our Dermatology experts. It is crucial to examine all skin lesions with a dermoscope to provide you with an accurate diagnosis.

The dermoscope allows us to view the skin under magnification to reveal details about the architecture of a lesion. We can also take high resolution images which can be used as a way to monitor for changes in the structure and colours of lesions.

Dermoscopy is completely painless and can provide a fast diagnosis, helping to put your mind at ease.

At Oxona, we offer what we call a Mole & Blemish check. During this 30 minute appointment, we will do a head-to-toe examination of your skin and spend time helping you understand your lesions and what to look out for.
